Art Website Launched!
At the end of 2023, I got an iPad and discovered the magic of drawing digital images on an electronic device. There are so many advantages to using a tablet vs. pen and paper: Easier to make corrections, unlimited drawing instruments and colors, greater portability, ease of saving and sharing images, and many more. I was totally hooked - the tablet rekindled my lifelong love of drawing and my desire to learn painting. After all, the reason I got into landscapes and digital photography in the first place, was to generate reference material for my art work.
On this website now you will find not only my panoramic photos, but also my digital sketches (I call them “Digital Pastels”), plus my early attempts to learn painting. Eventually I hope to sell my Paintings and prints of my Digital Pastels.
I’m still working on the website, adding features, content, and modifying the design. The next step will be to create an email address for the site, so viewers can communicate with me and vice versa. Please bear with me as I work through this technical process.
I’ll also be adding new content every week or so - new Digital Pastels and Paintings, plus any news about my progress with the website and with artwork. Stay tuned, check back every so often and if you like the content, tell your friends about the site. Once the web site is (mostly) completed, I plan to establish a YouTube channel with time-lapse videos of my art processes, as well as an Instagram account.
Thanks for your interest,
Jim Meyer
